We started the hike around 4 in the morning in order to make it to the top of the viewpoint by sunrise,We got there a little bit early so there was time to relax a little bit before the sun started to come up.I’ve never seen the city of Rio from this angle before In my life it looked amazing!As the sun rose it reflected a red and pink color across the lake on the other side of the beach which is actually shaped like a heart, one of nature’s fun little tricks it likes to play I guess. But no the less it was beautiful.
Henry is an amazing guide that make you discover an unknown place in the best way possible, with a great respect for the community he lives in and the nature surrounding Rio. He is very accommodating, thinks of every details to make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.We started the hike at 5 am as the sun rises later in the winter. We met at the the bottom of the community and up we went. I absolutely recommend this experience and especially this guide. You get to view Rio by night and see the incredible sunrise that totally transforms the city. You get to see two different worlds in a truly awesome and preserved spot.After the sunrise, we had breakfast at his place in the community where you get to admire the sun bathing the whole south of Rio with its light. His wife makes a homemade bread to die for and for sure, everything that is served is fresh and absolutely tasty.Lastly, the people Henry brought out with us were amazing and contributed a lot to this amazing experience. It is nice to get to meet some locals, especially when you are doing something solo as it gives a really cool vibe to the hike.My advice: Follow experience Rio on instagram and check out his website to see and book the tour that interests you.I’ll definitely do it again as Henry said, each sunrise is completely different so for sure, you’ll get to see a unique view of this beautiful and culturally rich cityThanks to Henry, his wife and Digão who made this morning hike a rich and one of a kind experience !
Looking for the best, safest tour guide in Rio? Look no further. I met Henry while visiting Rio in December of 2020, and booked him for at least 7 days over a 3 week period. We spent time in the favelas, visited a few parties, and I ate dinner at his house with his friends/family. He's an authentic, safe, brilliant man, that has a lot to offer his guests. Encontrei Experience Rio através do instagram que principalmente faz passeios no Vidigal. Henry me levou até o trilha Dois Irmãos
e depois desceu pela rua 25 dentro dos becos. Almoço também feito pela Thais (esposa dele), feijoada com couve, farofa, arroz etorresmo...ah e claro tinha cerveja gelada!! Mt obrigado Henry e Thais!
